1. Call to Order: Chair Skip Oliphant called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:00 PM with all members present. A total of 18 people were in attendance.

2. Pledge of Allegiance: The Board led the reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Proof of Posting: Clerk Yttri gave proof of proper posting of meeting in two newspapers, at the three posting places, on the Town website and via email for those citizens who have signed up for email notification.

4. Adoption of Agenda: Nemec moved to adopt the agenda, Parker seconded. Motion carried.

5. Minutes of Previous Meetings: Clerk Yttri read and provided copies of the minutes of the December 19, 2006 meeting. Parker moved to approve the minutes as read, seconded by Nemec. Motion carried.

6. Review and Payment of Bills: The current checkbook balance is $75,722.12 and the monthly bills total $99,137.67. The Board chose to pay $5,000 to the La Farge State Bank (on loan) and $10,000 to Scott Construction and $2798.54 toward the other bills. Supervisor Parker requested from the Clerk details of Hidden Valley Hardwoods bills and payments for last year. Clerk will gather the information Parker moved to approve the payment of other bills presented, seconded by Nemec. Motion carried.

7. Review Building Permits: none

8. Fire Number Applications: none

9. Overweight Permit Ordinance: Chairman Oliphant presented the Board with information and set February 7, 2007 at 7 PM for a Hearing on this Ordinance.

10. Patrolman’s Report: Shane reported that they had been brushing on several roads and patching holes where needed.

11. Public Input: Boyette asked about where the Town is storing the winter sand mix; (Board respond was what is not stored in the sand sheds is at the Melvin Quarry). She also asked about large wood chipper/grinder that is going to be brought in on Buckeye Ridge Thoyer Sawmill, (This project will be completed prior to or right after the Spring road bands are in place). Jack Lee asked about comprehensive planning and Chairman, Oliphant responded that he has had meetings with plans of using the Nuzum Grant Fund dollars for this purpose.

15. Board Comments: Chair, Oliphant gave an update on the new radios for vehicles and that he met with the sheriff’s dept. regarding new frequency settings.

January 25 – Vernon County WTA 7:30 PM, Vernon Cty Courthouse

February 7 – Weight Limit Ordinance Hearing, 7 PM

February 20 – Spring Primary Election, 7 AM to 8 PM

February 21 – Monthly Board Meeting, 7 PM

17. Adjourn: Nemec moved to adjourn, seconded by Parker. Meeting adjourned.
