Minutes of the Monthly
Meeting of the Town of Webster Board of Supervisors,
1. Call to Order: Chair Skip Oliphant called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:30 PM with all members present. A total of 9 people were in attendance.
2. Pledge of Allegiance: The Board led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. Proof of Posting: Clerk Yttri gave proof of proper posting of meeting in two newspapers, at the two posting places, on the Town website and via email for those citizens who have signed up for email notification.
4. Adoption of Agenda: Thelen moved to adopt the agenda, seconded by Parker. Motion carried.
5. Minutes of Previous Meetings: Clerk Yttri presented the minutes of the November 20, 2007 meeting. Thelen moved to approve the minutes as printed, seconded by Parker. Motion carried.
6. Review and Payment of Bills: The current checkbook balance is $53,764.27 and the monthly bills totaled $40,342.80. Parker made a motion to pay $39,522.80 toward the bills and have the Clerk check on the details of the Lepke Trucking & Exc. bill, seconded by Thelen. Motion carried.
7. Review Building Permits: none
8. Fire Number Applications: none
9. Election Poll Inspectors 2 yr Term: The Board reviewed the list of Pole Inspectors that the Clerk presented. They are: Eda June Widner, Dolly Lisney, Marge Nemec, Jan Parker, Marilee Miller, Donna Getter, Marsha Parker, Jean Beck, June Parker and Roseanne Boyette. Clerk Yttri stated that there would be a Spring Primary Election in February. Thelen moved to adopt the Election Poll Inspectors list, seconded by Parker. Motion carried.
10. Patrolman’s Report: Patrolman Jody Wirts reported that he is glad that the Board chose not to snow plow driveways due to time and liability issues. The road grader has a rear seal that is currently being replaced.
11. Public Input: Jack Lee asked about the progress of the Comprehensive Planning Committee meetings and stated that he would like this to be added to the monthly Board meeting as an agenda item, (the board agreed to do so).
13. Board Comments: Chairman Oliphant stated that the Comprehensive Planning Committee are in the process putting together a list of survey questions which will be sent out to all landowners who own property in the Town. The board discussed raising Rear Estate Taxes beyond the 2% Cap Limit in order to pay off current loans and the upcoming Fire Dept. truck purchases.
