Plan Commission Ordinance Hearing

August 21, 2007          6 PM

Chair Skip Oliphant called the Plan Commission Ordinance Hearing meeting to order at 6:00 PM with all members present.  A total of 8 people were in attendance.  The Board addressed the residents with any questions that they had about the ordinance.  Parker moved to adjourn at 6:25 PM, seconded by Thelen.  Meeting adjourned.

Minutes of the Monthly Meeting of the Town of Webster Board of Supervisors,

August 21, 2007

 

 

1.  Call to Order:  Chair Skip Oliphant called the monthly board meeting to order at 6:30 PM with all members present.  A total of 13 people were in attendance.

 

2.  Pledge of Allegiance:  The Board led the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

3.  Proof of Posting:  Clerk Yttri gave proof of proper posting of meeting in two newspapers, at the three posting places, on the Town website and via email for those citizens who have signed up for email notification.

 

4. Adoption of Agenda: Thelen moved to adopt the agenda with item #7 be changed to ‘Adopt’ instead of ‘Review’ Planning Commission Ordinance, seconded by Parker. Motion carried. 

 

5. Minutes of Previous Meetings:  Clerk Yttri read the minutes of the July 17, 2007 meeting.  Thelen moved to approve the minutes as read, seconded by Parker. Motion carried.

 

6. Review and Payment of Bills:  The current checkbook balance is $76,242.33 and the monthly bills totaled $28,824.92. The Parker made a motion to pay $16,749.66 toward the bills, which includes final payment to Scott Construction 2006 project: $5,000 to La Farge State Bank (interest $3192 an principle $1,808) on truck loan, and $35,000 to La Farge State Bank on the 2007 Operating Loan, seconded by Thelen.  Motion carried.

 

 Review Building Permits:  none

 Fire Number Applications:  none

 

7. Adopt Planning Commission Ordinance:  Earlier in the evening, a Hearing was held for the Planning Commission Ordinance. After some discussion, Parker moved to adopt the Ordinance, seconded by Thelen. Motion carried.

 

9. Patrolman’s Report:  Patrolman Jody Wirts gave an update as to flood damage:  Bloomingdale Road had received 17 loads of rock, Kirking Rd was closed and Green Hollow Rd will require a lot of work.  His priority is getting the culvert opened and the roads passable.

 

10. Public Input:  Rosanne Boyette questioned the Town’s liability of public use of damaged roads.  The Board will check into that concern.

 

11. Board Comments:  Chairman Oliphant estimated the road damage to be about $350,000, which informed FEMA officials.

September 18 -- Monthly Board Meeting, 6:30 PM

 

14. Adjourn:  Parker moved to adjourn, seconded by Thelen.  Meeting adjourned.
